Partnership Programs
We are grateful to partner with public and private organizations in a collaborative effort allowing all of us to expand our reach to serve more Blaine County students.
Idaho Base Camp
Connecting with and developing a love of the natural world is an important component of enrichment programming for all our Far+Wise students. Through our partnership with Idaho Base Camp, a local non-profit organization specializing in meaningful outdoor experiences for children, we foster our students' love of nature and wildlife while supporting the development of their independence, confidence, creativity, decision making and problem-solving skills. Each week, throughout the school year, our students explore the wonders of nature and learn about animals, plants and the importance of stewardship and conservation, with trained IBC educators as their guides.
SummerBridge
Through a collaboration between the YMCA, the Blaine County School District, Far + Wise, Lee Pesky Learning Center, College of Idaho, Teach for America, and the Community School, we are able to share human and financial resources that allow us to offer a comprehensive five week summer academic and enrichment program that supports close to 300 Blaine County School District students, including our Far+Wise students.
Parent Institute for Quality Education (PIQE)
Spearheaded by the local YMCA and the Blaine County School District, Far+ Wise has enthusiastically partnered with our partners to work together to provide information and education for parents on how to support their child’s education and play a participatory role in their students’ lives.
Blaine County School District - Wood River High School
Our continued expansive partnership with the Blaine County School District provides additional services and support, education and training for students navigating their high school and post-secondary educational experiences.
Sun Valley Museum of Art
Our students have opportunities to visit SVMoA exhibits, learn about artists, and engage in hands-on activities at the Museum, thanks to our partnership with SVMoA. This greatly expands their enrichment opportunities beyond the outdoors into community and culture.
Trade & Vocational Initiative
We work with a growing network of local partners including entrepreneurs, business owners, the Blaine County School District, College of Southern Idaho, Sun Valley Economic Development and other public and private partners, to build a robust trade and vocational program in Blaine County for middle, high school and post-secondary students interested in developing skills right here, locally, and apply those skills to jobs and career in our community and beyond.
